The recent upgrade of Keystone Appalachian Transmission Company’s (KATCo; A–/Stable) Long-Term Issuer-Default Rating (IDR) to ‘A-’/Stable reflects the transmission utility’s low-risk business profile, supportive economic regulation, and relatively predictable earnings and cash flow. KATCo is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp (FE; BBB/Stable).
